About the Project
1. What is the Problem or Opportunity?
Thousands of new talent are joining the Braintrust network every week. The community needs a process in which new talent can be onboarded by existing talent, guided through the job search and application process on Braintrust, receive valuable assistance in getting hired through the platform, and ultimately receive a rewarding and compelling experience as a member of the community.
2. Why now?
GSV in the Braintrust network surpassed $30M+ in 2021, and more enterprises and companies of all sizes are looking to hire on Braintrust. The foundations of the Educators role has been created, the community now needs to continue that work to further refine and scale the program.
3. Project Overview
This project is to continue to refine and scale the MVP Onboarder role under the Educator program. A Community Onboarder is a new, incoming talent’s “buddy” for the first 60 days of joining the platform. They act as a representative of the brand to all new incoming Talent. An Onboarder’s goal is to get new community members excited about Braintrust, become familiar with the Braintrust mission, and teach how Braintrust works. Subjects include how to level up on Discord, become approved talent, land jobs, and contribute to the success of the Braintrust Network.
Onboarder Activities:
Onboard and guide new talent for their first 60 days on Braintrust.
Onboarder onboarding sessions, information sessions, community meet & greets, networking sessions, web3 speaker series, lunch & learns, etc.
Keep attendance and validate as one form of “proof of work” in Discord, under #proof-of-work (to be validated and Leveled-up by Community Mods)
Create documentation, content, and guides for events. Add them to the Resource Center and Community Guide
Create courses in Braintrust Academy
Flag successful incoming talent to become future Community Mentors/ Onboarders

4. Milestones & Checkpoints
All contributors will be expected to record a 1-minute summary video to be shared with the community in the monthly Growth Reports video.
